While making indoor studio portraits can be a rewarding challenge, making "location portraits" is usually much more fun for both the photographer and for the client. Each location portrait session is different; different cloud cover, wind, sun, humidity, etc.

All these make each location portrait a unique work. The client is usually more comfortable in known surroundings where they can move and be more themselves. This relaxed "air" will often result in an image that captures the personality and spirit of the client.

School photography is a special niche.
